II – About marble mountain from hoi an
The first stop on the Marble Mountain from Hoi An tour is the iconic Marble Mountain itself. Located in Da Nang, Marble Mountain is a cluster of five limestone and marble hills, each named after the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. These mountains are not just geological wonders but are also steeped in myth and legend, holding a special place in the local culture. As you arrive, the sight of these majestic mountains rising abruptly from the flat coastal plain is truly awe-inspiring. The mountains are riddled with caves, tunnels, and temples, each with its own story and significance.
Exploring Marble Mountain from Hoi An, Hoi An Fairy Tour will help you to discover a labyrinth of natural caves and grottoes that have been used for centuries as places of worship and retreat. The Thuy Son Mountain, or the Water Mountain, is the largest and most famous of the Marble Mountains. Here, you can visit the Linh Ung Pagoda, a beautiful and tranquil temple that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The pagoda, with its traditional Vietnamese architecture and serene atmosphere, is a perfect place for reflection and meditation.
II – Am phu “hell” cave
Continuing the Marble Mountain from Hoi An tour, the next highlight is the Am Phu Cave. Known as the “Hell Cave,” Am Phu is an intriguing and somewhat eerie part of the Marble Mountains. The cave is designed to represent a journey through the underworld, complete with statues and carvings that depict scenes of judgment and punishment. As you navigate through the dimly lit passageways, the guide will explain the symbolic meanings of the various scenes and how they relate to Buddhist teachings on karma and the afterlife. Despite its somber theme, the cave offers a fascinating insight into the spiritual beliefs and cultural practices of the local people.
III – Monkey mountain and Son Tra peninsula [Marble mountain from Hoi An]
After the mystic experience of Marble Mountain from Hoi An, the tour takes you to the Monkey Mountain, or Son Tra Peninsula. This lush, forested area is a haven for wildlife, including the rare and endangered red-shanked douc langurs. The name “Monkey Mountain” comes from the many monkeys that inhabit the area, and sightings of these playful creatures are common. The peninsula offers stunning panoramic views of Da Nang and the South China Sea, making it a photographer’s paradise. The fresh air and the lush greenery provide a refreshing change from the historical and spiritual intensity of the previous stops.

This pagoda is one of the most important Buddhist sites in the region, famous for its enormous statue of the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin), which stands at 67 meters tall. The statue is visible from many points in Da Nang and is a symbol of peace and protection for the local fishermen.
