1 -Pho – Cooking class Hoi An
Pho, Vietnam’s national dish, is a fragrant and flavorful noodle soup that has gained worldwide fame. In the “Cooking Class Hoi An with Basket Boat,” participants learn how to prepare the broth from scratch, using a blend of aromatic spices such as star anise, cinnamon, and cloves. The class covers the essential techniques for achieving the perfect balance of flavors, ensuring that the broth is rich and savory. Participants also learn how to cook the rice noodles to the right texture and assemble the dish with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and slices of tender beef or chicken.
2 – Fish in Clay Pot
Fish in clay pot, or “Ca Kho To,” is a traditional Vietnamese dish known for its robust flavors and rustic presentation. In this part of the “Cooking Class Hoi An with Basket Boat,” participants learn to marinate fish in a mixture of fish sauce, sugar, and spices before slow-cooking it in a clay pot. The cooking process allows the flavors to meld beautifully, resulting in a dish that is both aromatic and deeply satisfying. The use of the clay pot not only enhances the flavor but also adds a traditional touch to the cooking experience.
