Check on gigago when the validity starts for this plan: if it starts when the eSIM is installed, install it on the day you fly, and switch it on when you land. Data plans cannot be topped up, so if you stay longer, buy a longer plan or a second eSIM.

Good to know before you buy

  • Data only. There is no Vietnamese phone number, so no calls or SMS. WhatsApp, Zalo, Messenger and FaceTime keep working. If an app must text a Vietnamese number (some food-delivery apps do), a physical SIM is safer.
  • Network. Viettel / Wintel, covering all of Vietnam including Hoi An, Da Nang and Hue.
  • Phone. It must be eSIM-compatible and unlocked. The checkout asks you to confirm this.
  • Refund. Full refund if the eSIM was never installed (QR code not scanned) and you ask within 30 days, or if it is faulty after a correct installation. gigago handles payment and support, 24/7.
  • Price. You pay gigago directly and we add no fee. The price shown at checkout is the one that counts.
